A research opportunity is published
An employer authors a structured brief. Only reviewed, published briefs can appear in the public catalog; drafts and internal notes are never public.

A researcher authors a versioned proposal
A researcher with an active capability can author, revise, submit, or withdraw a structured proposal for a published opportunity. Proposals and prices stay private.

The employer makes an informed selection
The employer can compare, shortlist, decline, or select proposals. Selection is only a decision outcome: it does not itself authorize work, create membership, or open a workspace.

Funding with a clear boundary
After both participants accept the current version, the employer can pay through an enabled gateway. Success appears only after server verification and balanced ledger posting. The preliminary agreement does not itself create an enforceable contract, files, messages, delivery, or an operational dispute process.
